I can’t wait to meet you!

Actually, they say I’m a speaker.

But, I like to think of myself as a conversationer (yep. I made that up).

If conversationer was a real word, I’d use that instead.

I became a conversationer (or speaker if you’re not digging my new word) when I was just a teen.  Youth leaders would bring me out to MC local events or share my story.

If you made arrangements to fly me out to your city to lead an inspiring conversation next week, I would absolutely tell about how I went from getting over my issues of having teenagers as parents, growing up in the projects, and living with a huge rejection complex--- to becoming a social worker, an award winning songwriter, and a creative entrepreneur.

I like to have conversations about dreaming bigger + reaching higher + moving forward in spite of where you come from, what you don’t have, and all of the mistakes you’ve made.

I love sharing my practical strategies + techniques for goal setting, songwriting/songpublishing, overcoming personal struggles, getting stuff done (even without any resources), being a rockstar of a wife + mom, and mastering the art of self-love/self-care.

Of course, spreading the gospel of not settling is what I do best.

If I was in front of you and group of your favorite people, right now, I’d probably lead a conversation about how to figure out what matters to you the most and how you can build a lovely life around it.

If that sounds like you, and you’re ready for a transformative conversation that will fire up your audience, get the creative juices flowing in your group, inspire your youth, and empower your women, let’s chat.

::I also love hosting live events... and contributing to media commentary is one of my favorite things ;-)

Contact me at Nakeia@nakeiachomer.com and tell me all about your event goals + let’s go over my speaking fees, and get it on my calendar.

Most of my own personal healing in dealing with issues from my childhood came from speaking to teens and young adults.

It started when I was just a teenager, myself

I shared my story, my personal philosophy on getting out of the hood, dealing with drug and alcohol addicted family members, and separating me from my circumstances. Speaking to and mentoring teens and young adults, is something that is still very dear to my heart. Sharing with them in a very candid and intimate way continues to nurture my own healing.

Yes! I made it out of the hood, graduated from college, had a great career in social work, and experienced more great stuff in a second career as a songwriter.  But, it wasn’t easy.  If it were not for the positive mentors in my life, things could have been much different.

There are 2 things I know for sure:

    1. Everyone is born with the opportunity to choose her (or his) own path.
    2. Even the most difficult circumstances can make you better

Hire me to speak to your teens and/or young adults, and I’ll that- and everything else I know for sure with them.

Contact me directly at nakeia@nakeiachomer.com to hear more of my story, tell me all about wonderful youth that you work with, and let’s see if I would be the perfect speaker to hire for your next event.

I choose up to 5 organizations to invest my time with, each year. To get on the list for 2017-2018, email me the details about your organization.
