Year End Hustle Week 5: Simplify Your Life

Big + More + Much + Most is a huge part of our cultural.

If it's not grand, it's not success.

If it's not in excess, it's not enough.

If it's not more than, it's less than.

Most people will describe their lives, their relationships, and their reasons why things are the way they are as complicated.

In an effort to make themselves look successful + important + connected, they jam their schedules packed with a whole bunch of stuff--- stuff that at the end of the day does nothing but complicate their lives even more.

Who really wants to be complicated?

I, for one, don't have time for complicated.  I got stuff to do and not a lot of time to do it.

Living a complicated existence keeps you from being great. It keeps you so connected to so many things---and disconnected from the things that matters the most--- all at the same time.

You'll get more stuff done, you'll get results, and you'll meet your goals if you simplify your life

Think about it. Wouldn't you love your life more if it was easier to navigate?

Your goals would be easier to attain--- because they were clearer.

You would get more stuff done--- because your mind was free of clutter.

You would have more focus--- because of an increase in understanding.

Being so complicated could be the thing that is holding you back. So, here is a short list of things that you can do to simply your life (in no particular order):

    • Focus on what matters the most
    • Write everything down
    • Keep a notebook handy
    • Schedule everything
    • Stick to your schedule
    • Set reminders on your phone
    • Make a plan
    • Stick to the plan
    • Know exactly what you are doing and why you are doing it
    • Focus on one goal until it is complete before moving to the next

This was a short list because--- well ---I didn't want to make it too complicated (pun intended.)

The point is, the more you simplify your life, the more control you will have over it.

More is good. Done is better
